ABOUT ME

Hey, my name is Meoungseok Oh, and I'm a (currently) 32 years old from Ilsan in South Korea. I'm just a nice and simple guy (I think) in this crazy world, trying to see the world and to avoid having my soul crushed by a desk job.

I wish travel in all the earth and discover a lot about people, cultures. and I'm trying to see as much of the world as I can now!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't done much surfing yet but haven't really had too much of a chance yet either. I know the places I live and like showing people around. I also always know where to find the best food and beers in a city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Now I've been travelling more than 30 countries. I've tried couch-surfing in a number of cities which I had visited and met many people who are warmhearted and friendly. It was so amazing to have intercultural experience through CS.

Interessi

My interests are many; music is big, as I am a musician myself, and write and record and all that. Beyond that, cycling, running, writing, reading, new places and experience, peaceful moment, architecture, politics and history are probably the other biggest ones, not to mention the obvious one of traveling.

Musica, film e libri

With music, I like indie rock first and foremost. My favorite bands could include Fleet Foxes, Sonic Youth, R.E.M, Stars, Sigur Ros, Mogwai, Blur, and a variety of others that don't sound like them.

Amazing things I've seen or done? Well, field exercise in army in the very closest place near North Korea is awesome! Being in the crowd in Tokyo was pretty good. Hanging around on a beach in the Busan was super nice. There's probably a lot more, ask about it! ;)

Insegna, impara, condividi

I've worked at the start-up company called Noom based in New York, USA. My current job position is Business Development Manager. I'm trying to see the way of life in all over the world. At the moment, I really want to learn more Chinese, Russian , Spanish language. It happened quite a few times that people enjoyed that I shared my way of thinking with them. I hope to get to know people their way of thinking I can enjoy.
