Canoeing from Michigan to Florida. Florida to Central America via: ??? Sailboat?

ABOUT ME

Hello, My boyfriend (Nick) and I are taking off from Michigan (mid October) via canoe on a journey down to Mobile, AL and then over to Florida. When arriving to Florida we plan to stay with my grandparents until we find a way to Central America. We'd like to find a job on a sailboat heading that direction. We are both easy going, free spirited and adventurous people. We love meeting new people and making connections. We are avid campers, however in some cites we would love to enjoy meeting some new people and taking a break from camping.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I lived in Europe last year as an Au pair and did a little couch-surfing with a friend and met some of the sweetest and most interesting people. We will be able to host until mid October as we will be traveling through most of the winter. As of now we are just looking to surf in the cities as we make our journey down to Florida and then through out Central America.
