I'm Andrés Gallo, a Publicist born in Medellín, Colombia, who's all about ideas, art, photography, extreme sports, music, and gastronomy. With over 14 years in the advertising industry, I specialize in Web UX/UI, brand creation, branding, and advertising. I'm a native Spanish speaker and also can speak English.

I'm diving into my visual artistry and music, and I'm itching to connect with passionate folks through Couchsurfing while I jet off to New York from the 16th May to the 28th for my first international Art Exhibit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm jetting off to the States to showcase my artworks at an art gallery in Manhattan, New York. It's my first art exhibition, and it's taking place at Van Der Plas Gallery. The show runs from May 17th to May 26th this year (2024). I've got another one ready in Tokyo on February 10th, 2025, so if you're around those parts, you're more than welcome to swing by.

Due to the expenses required to send the artwork, tickets, and everything that includes an invitation that took me by surprise to exhibit in another country, I'm looking for someone to host me from May 16th to 28th, as accommodation is too expensive for me and there are expenses that I didn't expect, but I really want to fulfill my dream of being present at my first international exhibition. I'm on Couchsurfing because I believe in the beauty of cultural exchange and human connection as a currency. I believe that traveling is not just about visiting places, but about meeting people and sharing experiences that enrich our lives in unexpected ways.

I've had incredible experiences as both a host and a guest on Couchsurfing when I lived in India for 3 years. I've met wonderful people, shared unforgettable moments, and learned a lot about different cultures and ways of life. Music, Movies, and Books

I groove to a wide range of tunes, from rock to salsa, and I'm all about crafting music. I love discovering new bands and musical genres. As for movies, I'm all about mind-bending psychological thrillers and visually stunning works by directors like Wes Anderson and Christopher Nolan. I'm not much of a reader, but when I do, it's art, advertising, and the biographies of my favorite artists and directors. The time folks spend reading, I channel into illustration or composing music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most memorable experiences was living and working in India for 3 years. Diving into its rich culture, working on creative projects, and connecting with folks worldwide taught me the value of cultural exchange and people's generosity. I even hosted and surfed with Couchsurfing while I was there.
