ABOUT ME

I love meeting new people, learning about them and connecting with them. I'm down-to-earth, eager to learn and try new things, reflective and open-minded. My life is dedicated mostly to music: singing, playing guitar, composing, recording and listening to music. I love going out to shows, experiencing new live music and dancing. I like trying new things; some new things I've tried while travelling: surfing, riding a motorcycle and cliff diving!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I love travelling and I love the sense of community that comes along with this site. I ALSO love being able to travel on a budget (and helping others do the same). Fuck the corporate world!

So far, the people I have met through couch surfing have all been hospitable and friendly and enhanced my trips. It is great to have an inside (local) perspective on the place you are staying; you end up seeing things you may never have discovered on your own.

Music: Erykah Badu, Mad Satta, Hiatus Kaiyote, Lake Street Dive, D'Angelo. Especially love roots music, soul, reggae, hip-hop, neo-soul, jazz, R&B, straight blues, 20th century minimalist… you name it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cliff diving in Cape Breton, camping in the jungle (and running through the jungle in the dark over scorpion infested sand to get to my tent), motorcycling through the Mexican countryside on winding dirt paths!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am interested in learning anything and everything I can. I can share my knowledge of yoga, music (guitar and voice) and cooking. I can share my knowledge about language, especially in english and french, and literature.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Great company, a gracious attitude, help with cooking and cleaning, childcare/animalcare (I love kids and pets), knowledge of art, dance and music, vocal anatomy, yoga. I am super low-maintenance. My only luxurious requirement is that there be a working shower :)
