About Me
ABOUT ME
Im a 27 year old student, living in Muenster, Germany.
Ive studied law and am currently writing my phd thesis while also working at university.
I share a flat with my twin sister and a friend. We like to cook together, play board games, invite friends over or tend to our mini garden on the balcony.
I am a rather quiet person, I am told. However silent waters are deep as they say. ;) While I do enjoy reading and listening to music, spending time with family and friends I also like to go to concerts, spend time at the soccer court with my girlfriend and her team and wouldnt turn down a good party just to catch more zzzs. It's all in the mix, Id say.
I love photography and am currently trying to master manual mode. Macro and architecture fascinate me the most, but people are also great subjects. Ive started to snap a pic or two at weddings and events, but thats just for fun so far.
A year ago I started running and have fallen in love with it. As cliché as it sounds, it is my stress release and has helped me focus and think many times. I've completed two half-marathons so far and am currently training for my first marathon. Not sure if that's daring or stupid, but I guess I'll find out soon enough. ;)
PHILOSOPHY
I try to see the positive in things as much as possible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Ive stayed with two lovely human beings in Dublin for a whole week and it was like living with friends.
I havent hosted so far, but Id very much like to.
WHAT I LOVE ABOUT CS:
I love meeting new people, I love hearing their stories, being allowed a glimpse into their lives. And to me that's what CS is all about: Just reaching out and connecting.
Again me with the clichés, but strangers becoming friends for a while that's a lovely thing and if I can be part of that, why wouldn't I?!
Interests
I love to learn. I know it sounds weird, but being able to learn about people and things, mastering new skills and growing as a person are privileges that I am so thankful for.
Running and photography are my two main hobbies, but I also love to stay at home and relax on the couch with my girlfriend or roommates.
I dabble in writing as well, but we'd have to be really drunk or get along incredibly well for me to show you something of mine. ^^
I could list so much more, but maybe we'll just talk about the rest in person. ;)

Music, Movies, and Books
Dispatches from the dark side (so raw and disturbing), Jane Eyre (the language!), Dublin (hello history nerd), Ireland awakening (sense a pattern here? ^^), Lord of the Rings, The woman who ran into doors (literally moved me to tears while shaking from anger), The Outsiders (yes, I, too, would love a tattoo of "Stay gold!" ^^) and many more. Which ones are your faves?
Ms. Potter (so sad and beautiful at the same time), The wind that shakes the barley (sad, but important), Matilda (here's to the crazy ones!), once (the music!), The Bucket List (just a really good movie), Dallas Buyers' Club (wow, so powerful)
rock music, folk, wallis bird, powderfinger, oh othello, thos henley, oldies
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
photographed a red robin from very close up while eating cheesecake (the bird AND I ^^)
Teach, Learn, Share
Tell me about yourself, show me how you see the world, what moves you, what interests you. Speak to me in your native language and let me teach you mine. Drink tea with me and feel at home in my home for a while.
That would be ideal, but hey, if you just need a place to crash for a night or two, that's also fine. Your loss... ;)
If you play the guitar, please share your wisdom with me. Id love to be able to play more than E and A chords.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can bake without a recipe and I can teach you that. You even get to choose what pastry we make. ;)
Banter, drinks, a good laugh. The usual...
My friends tell me I like to talk about law and how fascinating its impact on our daily life is, so I guess I can teach you about that, too (btw, it really is fascinating).
