About Me

Hey there! I'm Daniel, I'm a PhD student from Chile living in Knoxville, Tennessee. I love traveling and learning from other cultures. I'm very easy going and always down for a nice talk and a drink. I hope we can hang out!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I first tried Couchsurfing when I was studying abroad in Europe a few years ago. I fell in love with the experience and the whole concept of awesome people helping each other while sharing, learning and having a great time together. I haven't tried it in the states but I'm looking forward to meet more awesome people!

Interests

Well, a bit of everything. I'm into science and engineering, I work with renewable energy. I also play music, mostly guitar and a little of bass, drums and piano (I was singing at this Mexican restaurant a few month ago). I try to keep myself fit going to the gym and occasionally playing sports or hiking around the Smoky mountains. And last but not least, I enjoy having drinks with friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent one night in the Sahara desert, I survived a sand storm and the thunderstorm (which, lucky me, only happens once a year!)
