About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy my youth and live to the maximum!

ABOUT ME

Hey, I'm a 22 years old student from Warsaw. Last year, I entered a website about cheap flights for the first time and I realized that travelling is so easy and within reach. It was the day I got bitten by the travel bug and since then I have been to a few places arround the Europe. I love to explore new cities and places of nature as well. I'm an active kind of person and can't stand at one place for a long time. That's why I do lots of sports! Football is one of them. However, besides playing it I love to watch games of the best teams live. Mountains! I like evertyhing there. Long summer walks from feet to peaks of mountains, rock climbing and snowboarding in winter time.

PHILOSOPHY

I have only one life and that's why I'm gonna take maximum advantage of it. I hardly ever regret something I have done and very often things I haven't tried to do. That's why I want to make use of every opportunity my life gives me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new at Couchsurfing, so I don't have any experience there. I'm keen on idea of CS, because it's a great opportunity to make new friends. While I was travelling, I usually stayed at hostels or my friend's houses. This time I want to try a new way of travelling and I hope to succeed in finding a couch :) Although I'm new here I have some experience in helping travellers. I'm a member of ESN at my university. The aim of this organisation is to help foreign exchange students (Erasmus, etc.) at the beginning of their adventure in new country.

Interests

As I mentioned before, sport means a lot to me. From team sports like football, basketball through swimming, running to extreme ones as rock climbing and snowboarding. Photography! Sometimes, I just grab my camera and walk arround my city trying to catch special moments. Night photos are my favourite ones.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was on a trip to Polish Tatra Mountains with my family. We were walking arround the lake in lower parts of mountains. Then I asked my brother: "Do you see that peak? Do you want to climb there?" The answer was "YES" and we did that. It's one of the most difficult routes in Polish Tatra. We did it without any preparation and with only one bottle of water. The peak is about 2300 meters above see level!

Teach, Learn, Share

“Enjoy the power and beauty of your youth; oh nevermind; you will not understand the power and beauty of your youth until they have faded. But trust me, in 20 years you’ll look back at photos of yourself and recall in a way you can’t grasp now how much possibility lay before you and how fabulous you really looked….You’re not as fat as you imagine. Don’t worry about the future; or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubblegum. The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind; the kind that blindside you at 4pm on some idle Tuesday. Do one thing everyday that scares you. Sing. Don’t be reckless with other people’s hearts, don’t put up with people who are reckless with yours. Floss. Don’t waste your time on jealousy; sometimes you’re ahead, sometimes you’re behind…the race is long, and in the end, it’s only with yourself. Remember the compliments you receive, forget the insults; (...) Enjoy your body, use it every way you can…don’t be afraid of it, or what other people think of it, it’s the greatest instrument you’ll ever own.. Dance…even if you have nowhere to do it but in your own living room. Read the directions, even if you don’t follow them. Do NOT read beauty magazines, they will only make you feel ugly. Get to know your parents, you never know when they’ll be gone for good. Be nice to your siblings; they are the best link to your past and the people most likely to stick with you in the future. Understand that friends come and go, but for the precious few you should hold on. Work hard to bridge the gaps in geography and lifestyle because the older you get, the more you need the people you knew when you were young.”
