Overview
About Me
I am a posgtraduate student currently living in Montevideo where I work at university. I have just finished researching indigenous words present in Spanish and I am about to start a new investigation on language contact.
I try to spend my free time in the gym or doing yoga. I love biking everywhere and try to live a relaxed life. The rest of the time I watch John Oliver and listen to Tim Ferris. I am a dog person, I just love animals and twice a month I consider quitting academia to breed dogs!
Right now I am figuring out many things life-wise, and I am trying to do that through conversations with friends and future-friends.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Coz it's closer to "living" than just "visiting" a city. But the best thing is meeting cool, gentle and smart people who make you feel that the world is still a good place...
I personally find my own community a bit narrow-minded when it comes to opinions and lifestyles, therefore, meeting people from other countries has become a need lately.
Interests
I'm a linguist, so I'm basically interested in all language phenomena. Apart from that I love going to the gym, travelling by train, dancing, drawing, having witty conversations. Apart from this, I am a big fan of dogs (people who like dogs), pasta, wine and minimalism.

Music, Movies, and Books
Too many to write down. But I could say I am crazy about The Beatles, I love Tarantino's work and don't understand why most people don't find "Catcher in the Rye" absolutely hilarious.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This question made me stop for about 20 minutes, during which I reflected on many things without getting anywhere.
Sorry to disappoint you, it looks like I am either too humble, too forgetful or too boring to answer this one.
Teach, Learn, Share
All I have I try to teach, learn and share.
I am convinced that sharing observations about your own city with foreigners, can be one of the most enlightening things that can happen to you. I find great pleasure in listening to other people's viewpoints and I really appreciate it when others are open to mine! It's the best learning that can take place!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have made incredible friends through couchsurfing. The CS motto of "You already have friends in X city though you still haven't met them" is soo true!
I am willing to share my experiences, opinions and knowledge with my hosts. Meeting locals is one of the most important experiences of travelling, I sometimes think it's the most...
