ABOUT ME
Bonjour!
My name is Baya. I am a Slovak infected with British humour and an eternally curious mind.
I get excited by simple things like fresh veggies from the market, taking pictures with street and cemetery cats, sun shining through the window in the morning, a good new game or a book... Meeting strangers and listening to their stories, picturing places and people long gone and savouring random streaks of inspiration.
The rule of thumb is : there are very few things I don´t like, as long as you are honest and willing to respect others, we shall be get along.

PHILOSOPHY
I'm bored' is a useless thing to say. You live in a great, big, vast world that you've seen none percent of. And even the inside of your own mind is endless. It goes on forever inwardly. Do you understand? Being the fact that you're alive is amazing, you don't get to be bored.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Ireland for a month- it was glorious. Glasgow for a week- fantastic as well. I have never slept so little while had so much fun.
Montpelier- now I know the spirit of French student life. When they live close to a beach. Lucky suckers. -.-
And the countless friends whom I have bothered with my homeless status every now and then. But I try do repay via being a good and useful company :) Yay dishes!
Interests
Languages, books, Irish nights at my local pub, cooking, baking (I do lots of random food shopping which ends up with condiments which cannot possibly go together...?) Hello Google and your eternal wisdom.
And we just got an ice-cream maker. Woot woot.
Walking aimlessly, getting on random trains, shopping for foods I have never laid eyes upon before, casually threatening people in a vague Eastern-European accent...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Have seen my brother turn form an IT couchpotato into a(n almost) worldly individual.
Teach, Learn, Share
Getting out of your comfort zone is as painful as liberating. Try and learn new things while remaining yourself. But hey, this doesn´t mean to never change! One needs to trust yet doubt themselves endlessly, in order to keep upgrading and be the best version of ourselves we are capable of being.
Otherwise I try to think before I speak and pass only good things on.
