About Me
Hey! I'm a Turkish guy who just recently moved to Berlin in September 2016. I graduated from college in Turkey and than moved to Seattle,WA for work and then life brought me to Berlin. Currently trying to get my master's degree in Economics and Business.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Traveling is a passion of mine partly because i love meeting new people, hear interesting stories, discover their world. I feel that it enriches me. Now that i have school to attend full-time and a part-time job, i unfortunately can't travel as often as i'd like to. But i thought that shouldn't keep me from meeting great travelers so i returned to Couchsurfing after over 2 years. i have a very small place and an extra mattress. I can't offer much but i'd be glad to meet adventure loving couchsurfers, share experiences and create a few new ones.
I've been living in Berlin only since a few moths but i've been here before many times as a tourist so i have a pretty good knowledge of what to do in the city. I am up for being a tourist guide if i have the time. Even if not, i'll always help other people on how to have a good time in Berlin. (Which is not really hard.)
Interests
I am very much interested in politics, economics, philosophy , contemporary art so on and so forth. I like knowing what's happening in the world and follow news everyday. I like discussing about these things over coffee or a beer. I am very open-minded. In fact, i like discussing things with people who think different than me . Makes it more interesting every time.
Aviation is something that i also like. Recently stopped working for Boeing and had an internship at Airbus before but my tie to the airplanes isn't detached. I still follow what happens in the industry closely and plan to work in aviation after i complete my degree.
I like going out. If you like drinking and deep house music, we can enjoy the party scene in Berlin together. I also enjoy going to a concert occasionally. I try not to miss if big names come to town. (I'm a 90s kid. You can't blame me for liking pop-culture.)

Music, Movies, and Books
I am a big movie-goer. I try to follow festival movies over the course of the year. Haneke, Lars von Trier, Almadovar, Dardanne Brothers, Nuri Bilge Ceylan, Coen Brothers, Fatih Akin, Tom Tykwer are a few of my favorites.
I can't read for pleasure as much as i want to nowadays because most of my readings are for school. Interesting enough for me but i, of course, not the same with choosing your favorite author from the shelve.
The variety of music i listen to is really wide. If i try cluster a few;
I have a party and "feel good" playlist that is full of electronic (techno - minimal - house) music.
Adana Twins, Solomun, Alt-J, Beirut, Daft Punk, Metronomy are a few that are in my daily "Ubahn" playlist.
The Smiths, Fleet Foxes, Tame Impala, Morcheeba, Royksopp, Sting are also occasional visitors.
And if i am in my happy place, more pop ones like Beyonce, Sia, Madonna, Adele
Teach, Learn, Share
Beside my mother tongue, Turkish, i speak a good English and an okay German. I'd be happy if i could share it and help someone.
