Overview
About Me
Hey, my name is Elisa. I am 26 years old and I am studying Corporate Communications in Mainz, Germany. Before I sort of must focus on my Master thesis, I want to take the opportunity to travel around Central America and get to know different kinds of people, their cultures and the thoughts they carry around with them. I like to spend my time with friends, dancing salsa (I learned it at least a bit during my time in Barranquilla) and cooking Vegetarian food. I am rather a nature person who loves to go hiking, but I also enjoy spending days and nights in pulsating cities.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing seems to be the perfect platform for me, to get closer to locals and therefore to their culture. I like to listen to your stories, your history and to what moves you.
I already registrated at Couchsurfing six years ago, but didn't use it because, well I guess, I wasn't ready yet. So please, don't be concerned about the lack of evaluations in comparison to the time spent here. :)
Interests
At the moment I learn to surf, how to speak more spanish than "una cerveza, por favor" and how to dance proper salsa without standing on my partners feet.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't have a certain kind of prefered music, I rather choose it according to my mood. But salsa, vallenato, indie, folk, electronic and classical music are always part of it.
My favourite book: Set This House in Order: A Romance of Souls - Matt Ruff
Cinema: I love arthouse productions, in particular dramas and french comedy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The hospitality and love that people give you all over the world.
Teach, Learn, Share
As mentioned above, I am learning salsa, surfing and spanish at the moment. Apart from that, I would like to learn more about different ways of living, your culture and the stories you have to tell.
I'd love to share my cooking skills, recipes, as well as thoughts and ideas about a zerowaste lifestyle. If you want to learn more about Germany (and our language) or my experiences in Colombia, I am keen to tell you.
