ABOUT ME

I am a university student from Bratislava (Slovakia), currently studying in Brno (Czech republic).

I am a dreamer, always full of energy, open to trying new things. I am always trying to be positive. People who met me tend to say that I am smiling basically all the time. Sometimes I tend to be a little shy with strangers, but as soon as I get to know them better, I become very talkative and open.
I love meeting new friends, visiting new places and generally experiencing various cultures as well as coming back to places and people I have already visited.

When travelling I prefer the cities rather than the countryside. But I don't care so much about sight-seeing. I mostly want to experience the atmosphere and the spirit of the place.

My most favorite country would probably be Italy, which I have visited several times. I love the culture, the food :) as well as the language which I studied for few years.

PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy for now would be enjoing the small things every day and taking any opportunity to experience something special, but unfortunatelly I often forget to live according to it. Anyway, I am doing my best :)

Dlaczego jestem na Couchsurfing

I was couchsurfing in Brussels and Amsterdam and I think it was the best thing I could do. It was completely different from any other trips I made before. I enjoyed it so much and did not feel lost in the cities at all. I am really looking forward to doing it again.

I have not hosted anyone yet as I do not have conditions for it in Czech republic where I currently study but I often meet with couchsurfers to show them the city and enjoy some time together.

Zainteresowania

I love attending various cultural events, watching good films, learning languages. Few years ago I started working as an usherette at theatre and there I have fallen in love with it. I also like sports, my favorite are roller skating, cycling and swimming. But I am always open to trying something new, I have even attended a ballet class at school last year :)
I like long walks in the city centre, sitting at cafes, and meeting with friends.

Muzyka, filmy i książki

Sometimes I feel like a qoute from a movie or book describes my life perfecly. I love reading but as I do not have much free time, I mostly go for movies. My most favorite genre is drama as I think it is the most unpredictable one. I have always loved the French movies for their specific atmosphere.
Some of my favorites are: Intouchables, Amélie, The Shawshank redemption, The book thief, Paris, je t'aime, Amour, The double life of Veronique, Les Amours Imaginaires, Rome holiday, Samsara, Poulet aux prunes, 500 Days of Summer, Factory Girl, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button...

My most favourite books are: Veronika decides to die (Coelho), The Catcher in the Rye (Salinger), The Bell Jar (Plath)

With music it is more complex, I do not like any specific style and I like listening to different styles of music for different occasions. What I like a lot are some famous movie songs.

Jedna niesamowita rzecz, którą zrobiłem(-am)

I am still waiting for some amazing to be done, for now I do not have any experience which I would consider extremely special. Maybe that in this year I visited more places than ever before.

Ucz innych, ucz się sam, udostępniaj

I can teach you some Slovak words if you are interested and if you visit Brno, I can give you some tips about where to get a good cup of coffee as I am currently organising a Coffee Festival there :)
