About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Meet awesome people, see new places, learn more about different cultures and improve all my language skills.
ABOUT ME
My name is Rebecca and I grew up in a tiny village in the Austrian countryside. After living abroad for several years and getting a taste of the world's diversity I'm not the same person any more. I've learned so much about myself and I'm so grateful for every good or bad experience. The best of traveling is meeting all these inspiring human beings and experience real connections. I'm a genuinely happy person and really easy going.
PHILOSOPHY
Love life and life will love you back.
- Arthur Rubinstein
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I will mess up your place and eat all your food :P of course not. I'm really a neat person with good manners and love cooking. My parents own a Spanish restaurant so I grew up with cooking/eating or talking about food - that's pretty much all we do. So if I'm the host or surfing doesn't matter I'll probably cook ;)
and for all of my future surfers: I love being a tour guide! If it's going on a walk through the numerous wine gardens which are all over my region or visiting the capital Vienna and exploring our rich history. Either way I'm sure we will have a great time!
Interests
I love getting to know new people, their culture and land. As much as I like to see and conquer the world I rather stay at places for a while and learning more about the people and life style. I studied/worked/lived in a few cities so far: Vienna, Geneva, Pula, Barcelona, New Jersey, Melbourne (AUS) and Mexico city .
Besides traveling and learning/practicing languages I'm a huge bookworm. Enjoy very much German/Austrian, English and Russian literature. Further more I'm engaged in a healthy life style. Doing sports regularly and try to cook healthy and sustainable. Looking forward to the day where I grow my own vegetables :) Also love watching movies and documentaries, going out for a dance or a drink. Currently learning flamenco and practicing latin dances when I'm out. Otherwise I love HipHop, R&B, bit of funk, soul and drum&base as well as classic music.

Music, Movies, and Books
That's a tough one! Can't really decide. Like historical movies, biographies, educational movies or documentaries. I few movies I highly recommend: Life is Beautiful, City of God, Nous trois o rien, Roma, Güeros...
My favourite books...as I mentioned above I mostly read literature. A few authors I enjoy reading: L. Tolstoy, Arthur Schnitzler, Stefan Zweig, Bukowski...many many more. Always open for book suggestion ;)
Music- I'm pretty flexible. I like it diverse: hip hop, soul, funk, electronic, drum&base, cumbia...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
So many great experiences I don't want to rank them. The most basic things can bring you the biggest joy sometimes.
Teach, Learn, Share
Your're never too old to learn. I'm grateful for every lesson what life teaches me.
Try to step out of my comfort zone as much as possible and see the world from a different angle.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Happy to practice languages or show you my dad's not so secret tapas recipes :P
