Overview
About Me
My name is Vojta and I am 27 years old. I come from Europe, from a small country called the Czech Republic, and I live in its beautiful capital Prague. I work in a company that arranges international study trips for universities around the globe so I travel quite frequently (especially to Asia) to accompany some of the travelling student groups. Since last year, I am happily married and we are just in the process of moving and furnishing our new apartment, so unfortunately, we can't accept any guests right now (but that will hopefully change in the future).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I travel a lot with my job and there is nothing easier than to stay few days after my business trip ends to travel around and learn more about the country. But to spend all this time alone gets boring pretty quickly, so it would be great to have someone to talk to and have a beer with in the evenings.
Interests
I love movies & I am a proud movie geek. I have a bunch of nerdy hobbies such as computer games, board games, and Dungeons & Dragons as well as non-nerdy ones such as going out with friends, reading, jogging, skiing & of course travelling. I also love Japan, Japanese culture, literature & movies (given my academic background in Japanese studies).

Music, Movies, and Books
My list of favourite movies has been swelling up and now it's close to three hundred (you can check it out here: http://www.csfd.cz/uzivatel/275916-doutas/).
Some of my favourite contemporary film makers are Martin Scorsese, David Fincher, Coen brothers, Quentin Tarrantino, P. T. Anderson, or Christopher Nolan, if I were to mention some of my favourite classics I would say Stanley Kubrick, Akira Kurosawa, Federico Fellini or Orson Welles.
I read all kinds of books, from classics to sci-fi & fantasy. Recently, I've been reading a lot of non-fiction on various topics. My favourite authors are Franz Kafka, Murakami Haruki, and Vladimir Nabokov. For lighter reading, I enjoy Terry Prattchett's Discworld and above all Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy!
I am not that much into music so my taste is quite simple. If I listen to something, I go for easy pop rock songs or film music. My favourite composers are Hans Zimmer, Ennio Morriconne, and Clint Mansell.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I married the right woman.
