About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm 26 years old outgoing, sociable and talkative person, who gets along with many kinds of people and loves to experience new things - I'm interested in almost everything and am always ready to learn something! :)

I've worked as a seasonal hotel receptionist a few years, meaning that every six months I pack my bags and move to another place to live and work for the following season. Three previous winters I've been placed in the picturesque Finnish Lapland and my summers have been spent in Åland Islands between Finland and Sweden and in Norway and its amazing fjords. The following summer I'll be working in Denmark, so yet another new country and experience! :)

I'm pretty much a dreamer and love to sink in my pink cloud castles many times a day, but I'm also ready to work for my dreams and don't expect them to happen without any kind of effort.

As a person I'm cheerful, laugh a lot and have pretty much sense of humor (although I don't know about the level of it...). I love waking up early and going to jog as the first thing in the morning, love my morning coffee and having a breakfast without hurry, love to do lots of things and love sunshine and sunbathing. I mostly try to focus on the good things in life and don't like negative people who deplore about everything. I'm also pretty spontaneous and hate the idea of getting drowned in daily routines in a life, where everything goes exactly the same way every single day. Life is an adventure and we should take chances once in a while! ;)

As a traveler I'm really flexible and open for everything. I don't need luxury facilities or big bathroom - what I really appreciate is a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a roof on top of my head!

PHILOSOPHY

Do things that make your heart beat faster!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My first experience of couchsurfing is from February 2014, when I traveled first time on my own to Czech Republic. Staying overnight for a couple of days by someone I'd never met before, getting to know each other and hearing lots of interesting stories was simply amazing and I fell immediately in love with this type of traveling! In May 2015 I did some couchsurfing in Vietnam as well and am absolutely about to continue it in the future :)

Interests

Besides traveling and other countries and cultures I'm also interested in exercising (I love hiking, go to the gym and like to take some aerobic classes as well as do jogging and skiing) and living in a healthy way. On the other hand I'm always ready for a good party and don't say no to a piece of chocolate, because enjoying and having some little vices is healthy for our mood, too... right? :D I could say that mostly I eat pretty healthy and go to the gym many times a week, but I'm not desperately married with that kind of lifestyle.

Writing and reading have been parts of my life since I was a child and I try to maintain my literacy by writing a blog. Well, it's not a big blog or even very good one, but that's the place where I can open out and tell about the things I've had lately in my mind.

Photographing is a thing that I'd love to do more and I'd really like to make progress with that! If there's anyone out there with good tips, I'm interested to hear them :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've experienced the magic of Taj Mahal in the early morning and seen the amazing views of northern Norway in the middle of the long and dark winter.

Teach, Learn, Share

As mentioned above, I'm always ready to learn something new - whether it was some words of your language, cooking your favorite food or hearing stories about your life. As a return service I can teach you some Finnish (which is said to be one of the most difficult languages in the world) and show you how to make the best banana pancakes in the world! ;)
