Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Gather as many good stories in life as possible, connect, grow, learn, and maybe help others to do so as well.
ABOUT ME
I'm an open-minded, talkative person, always open to trying new things and meeting new people. For me, travel is about connecting with different people and cultures, doing things you wouldn't normally do, and expanding horizons, perspectives and comfort zones.
PHILOSOPHY
Regret the mistakes you made, instead of mistakes you were too afraid to make, and do your best to forgive others for theirs.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have no fixed address right now, having left China in summer. So I'm definitely the surfer and not the host for the time being.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Since I was a young kid my family has both hosted and surfed, through servas. I've stayed with people in New Zealand, the US and Kyoto, and met some amazing people.
Interests
Live music and events, mind opening discussions, creativity, nature, cooking/food, nice scotch whiskey, good conversation, new experiences, alternative communities/lifestyles/outlooks.

Music, Movies, and Books
Pan's Labyrinth, Stardust, Shortbus, Blue Valentine, Black Snake Moan
Jazz/blues/acoustic/folk/rock/metal/dubstep/classical/reggae/old school soul...
I love reading. Witchy, feminist, fantasy fiction right now mostly.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Founded a small community in Tokyo.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have taught English, science, social studies, laughing yoga and meditation, consent and boundary setting, communication and since conflict resolution. I have a bachelor's in philosophy and cognitive science, a master's in psychology, and a certificate in counseling. I love to learn from others and am delighted to share tastes in music and books, perspectives on life, and health tips, for a start. Anything you're an expert in I'm excited to hear about.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I taught English for 13 years so I'm always good for a language exchange. I offer presence, active listening and an open mind to all people. I can of course help out with tasks as needed; I'm also an experienced wwoofer.
