I am an artist, married, a mother of two sons age 7 and 9.
Living in Berlin, Germany.
My family, my husband David and my kids Nelio and Liam are planning to travel the world for one year. We will leave Germany in July 2015, staying one year on the road and we will do a mixture of travelling, working in different cultural theatre projects, doing home - or better on-the-road schooling for our kids, relaxing, spending time together...
We will first fly to the US, to Seattle, Oregon, Nevada, California. We will participate in Islewilde Festival on Vashon Island close to Seattle and later on we plan do build a huge installation for Burning Man in Black Rock Desert Nevada.
Our next stops will be Japan, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, Taiwan, India, Iran and Turkey. Then slowly travelling by car back to Germany.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I am planning to travel the world, I will not be at my own home for a year. Through couchsurfing I am hoping to find or at least get a glimpse into homes all over the world. I would love to meet other artists, other travelling families but also normal people and get an idea how life feels like in the different countries.

Interests

I am interested in all sorts of arts, contemporary art, installations, painting, performance and theatre.
I love visiting exhibitions and museums.
I like gardening, living and camping out in the nature, making my own fire, planting and harvesting and processing my own fruits and vegetables.
I like cooking and I like to learn more about the differnt tastes of the world!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like singer songwriter music, alternative and independent bands like the Fleet Foxes, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes, Regina Spector, Asaf Avidan, Calexico or the 17 Hippies.
Lately I read a lot of Murakami, I read a lot fiction books about recent german history, like Eugen Ruge "Zeiten des abnehmenden Lichts", Lutz Seilers "Kruso"
and I haven't been to the movies for ages!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have already visited all continents of this world together with my kids and husband during the last 7 years!
I continue my artist life despite being a mother and I am proud of this !
