About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Simply try to make the most of it, to travel all over the world and to make unforgettable memories!

ABOUT ME

Hi Couchsurfer friends,
I'm Cécile, a French girl who has a great mission to achieve : discover the world and its people! Beside this mission of mine, I'm working in a lab as a PhD student where I work on chemical engineering. I usually spend my free time dreaming about the next country that I am going to discover. I'm open minded, have a weird sense of humour and enjoy making new friends.

PHILOSOPHY

To live freely and simply. To try to fulfill the dreams that you have, even the ones which seem impossible to achieve.

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
- Mark Twain

"The secret of getting ahead is getting started." - Mark Twain

“Life is short, Break the Rules.
Forgive quickly, Kiss SLOWLY.
Love truly. Laugh uncontrollably
And never regret ANYTHING
That makes you smile.”
― Mark Twain

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd like to surf and to host when I can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed for the first time last year - in Hamburg - and that was such a great experrience that I'm more than keen to redo it ! I'm also quite used to host friends of mine (even friends of friends of mine ;-)).

Interests

Learning foreign languages so that I can speak with the locals when I travel in a new country. I think indeed that meeting the locals is the best way to really discover and enjoy a country and its own culture. Just like you, I also like traveling and meeting new people.
If I could, I'd like to trek all over the world or simply to settle down anywhere with just a tent and my friends.
I'm really interested in Asia and especially Japan and Korea where I had the chance to go for a few weeks in the last 3 years.
I also like the usuals like reading, hanging out and cooking with friends, photography even though I'm just a novice.
Try to meditate sometimes but I'm very new at it.
I just got myself a concert ukulele and I can't wait to play and sing along!!
