About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel as much as I can and take photos of it all

ABOUT ME

Quiet, kind and polite. Kinda on the artistic side.
I am very fond of my family - and that extends over to my pet cat Gin, which is a little devil in disguise, but I don't know what I'd do without him :)

When I am being hosted I try to not be an annoyance to my host, though I do enjoy spending some time with them. I am respectful and clean and try my best to not leave any signs of me ever being there. Might leave a cat hair or two, though...

I couchsurf as a way to meet people with a similar mind-set to mine and to experience a city through them, share adventures and views on life.

PHILOSOPHY

You can do whatever you want, as long as it's not on the expense of another.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am excited about the idea that there are people who trust you enough to open the doors of their homes and let you sleep over at the destination you've always dreamed about visiting.

And it's also nice knowing that you are able to offer the same service to other people that think alike.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had my first couchsurfing experience when I went to the US and had the luck to run into the most kind and helpful guy, I could wish for - especially since I was alone and far away from home. If it wasn't for him I probably would have had to sleep in the forest, haha :D

In the future I also hope to be able to offer a couch myself. Because I know how much it means to be able to stay somewhere safe and warm in a foreign country, with a roof over your head and having the company of with someone trustworthy, who might have been in your shoes before.

Interests

I am an artist by heart and soul - I specialize in the field of photography. My favourite type being portrait, beauty and fashion photography.

I enjoy playing a wide variety of video games - Prince of Persia, Okami, Rayman, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Yoshi's Island to name some.
I like ''exotic'' performance arts such as pole dancing and hooping (though I haven't done either in a while). What I want to try next is the aerial hoop and poi.
I am a vegetarian, and I like to cook for myself (but you don't have to worry if you are a meat eater, because I never preach my vegetarianism ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I'm halfway through the IMDB top 250.
I've enjoyed - The silence of the lambs, Tarantino movies, Christopher Nolan movies and...Disney theatrical animated features...

Music: Every genre has it's spotlights. I can find a song in almost any genre that I like.
Not too keen on country, commercial (MTV) or Slovenian national music though...

Books: The last book that really made an impression on me was Sallinger's Catcher in the rye.

Also... the Game of thrones books totally reeled me in.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well...one day I discovered that all of a sudden I was able to do one of the things that ''a younger version of me from the past'' was always hoping to be able to do.
And I think that's pretty damn impressive.
Mostly because as we grow up, we stray away from the path and dreams we set for ourselves when we were young.

So anytime I notice I can do something (more or less) impressive, which I wasn't able to before, I am happy.
Happy, because I know ''me from the past'' would be proud of myself.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am curious about other people and their lifestyle.
Don't be too surprised if I ask you any stupid questions, haha :D

What I Can Share with Hosts

I don't travel with much. I try to show my gratefulness by being the one to buy drinks (if my finances allow me). Only other thing I can share with you are my experiences and stories so far, which I occasionally spice up with some sarcasm.

Though this hasn't really happened yet, I guess I wouldn't mind to take a creative picture or two of my fellow couchsurfers :)
