ABOUT ME

I'm a very easy-going, most of the time happy and open person. I can sometimes be grumpy or quiet when I'm stressed out, in a bad mood or I didn't have a coffee yet, but I love travelling and getting to know people. I like being around different people and hearing about their stories and experiences.

兴趣

Definitely travelling and getting to know culture and languages of different countries, see how the attitude of the people change from country to country. Listening to all different kinds of music, especially when it's live music. I like being out in the nature, I enjoy walking and just being outside.
When I'm in a city I like to discover cute little cafe's and shops, go to pubs and concerts.
I was living in Edinburgh for 6 months in 2013, which was the perfect place to do this kind of stuff.
Last year I stayed in Arequipa, Peru for 3 months where I was doing voluntary work in an NGO called Intiwawa.
Currently I'm studying "cultural sciences" in Lüneburg, Germany.

Music: In my heart I'm a 50/60s child - i love the Beatles, The Doors, The Kinks, The Clash, quite different genres, but all brilliant, but I also like some music, where all the band members are still alive :D but still all kinds of genres - some Rock, Indie, Ska, Old German Hip Hop, but also (Psye-)Trance, Electro, even some Classic, depends on my mood, my thoughts, the day, whatever, I listen to what I enjoy.

Books: Different kinds of novels, some English Classical Literature like Jane Austen or the Bronte Sisters, American Literature like John Irving or Joyce Carol Oates, i adore J.K.Rowling for Harry Potter - the world of my childhood, The Elegance of the Hegdehog by the French novelist Muriel Barbery, I could continue but I guess now I'm starting to bore everyone, so I rather stop.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Living in Scotland with 11 other people in one house, sharing all the good and the bad times.. a lot of teaching, sharing,arguing, laughing, crying, learning, basically every emotion you can experience.

Also working with children and their community in a rural area in Peru, which is a very different culture from the one I grew up with, but so amazing. I learned a lot there, especially that you don't need much to appreciate and enjoy your life and just be happy.
