About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am currently studying to become a director of documentaries. I have been working towards this goal since I started my studies in 2013, meaning I have ben sharpening my understanding of how we watch film and TV for 6 years. I am an extremely curious person, to the point where I (to my friend’s great dismay) have a habit of becoming slightly irritating. There is a reason I make documentaries, I guess… However, due to my studies, I haven’t been traveling as much as I would like to. Being a student is not exactly an economically steady occupation. I have, however, been traveling a lot during my younger years, trotting the world with no sense of direction. I took a trip around the world in 80 days when I was 19, together with my best of friends: Heineken and Budweiser.

These days I only dream about traveling like that again, however I do, sometimes, get the opportunity to visit other countries, and when I do, I prefer meeting strangers and experiencing the local culture, rather than wasting time in a sterile hotel room. I love meeting new people and listening to their stories. We all have one to share, and being privileged enough to be able to partake in that is truly a joy not worth wasting.

ABOUT ME

I’m open minded, reflected (or at least sometimes?), hardworking, easygoing and potty-trained. I love trying different foods, drinks, experiences, sofas and flavors of potato chips. I love that shit. It’s like my kryptonite. You can say all you like about potato chips, but at least its not Cheetos.

PHILOSOPHY

Live whatever life you have. It’s hard to bargain death for an extra life. All dough, I hear he likes marzipan.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven’t gotten to be useful as a host yet. Living in a student dorm is not a great way to host guests, but I am looking forward to be hosting people in Oslo as soon as I get a job after my studies. The way I have been participating in the past is to help my host out however I can, making sure they are comfortable hosting me, and that they get a great drinking frien… I mean conversationalist. 😊

Interests

Adventure! And some other stuff I guess. I love peering into the mind of society. Unsheathing the often forgotten and hidden parts of our cultures. Exploring the parts this world that makes us think and reflect on ourselves.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen some amazing stuff, but yet nothing more amazing than the fjords of Norway. Even though the plains of Mongolia, and the mountain range of The Rockeys was fantastic specticles, it couldn’t beat my place of birth.

I have also traversed the Ottawa River, from Ottava to Montreal by canoe.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Interesting conversations, and an eagerness to listen.
