I am a 26 year old male from South Africa. I competed my post graduate degree in Economics at the University of Stellenbosch, and my Masters in Business Administration at Rhodes University.

I have worked in various African countries, and traveled them extensively.

I spent 5 months cycling (yes with a bicycle) from Portugal to Turkey (6000km) with 2 friends, and had many incredible experiences with couch surfers. Couch surfing experiences are some of my fondest memories.

I am currently farming in South Africa and travel when I have the time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

People that belong to Couchsurfing are some of the most inviting, warm and interesting people. It provides the unique opportunity to spend time with a local, and to learn about the area, that no travel book could ever do.

I am incredible curious about the areas that I travel, and in my experience meeting local people makes all the difference.

I often have people to stay, but I live in the country side far from major cities.

Interests

Outdoor activities, such as fishing, mountain biking, motor biking, cross country running, climbing, paddling, and TRAVELING!!! I am enthralled with meeting local people when I travel.

I enjoy discussions in Economics, Philosophy, History and Politics.
