About Me

A bellydancer, photographer, metalhead, winedrinker, crazy cat lady, movie collector, ex-bass player, writer, globetrotter, project manager and part-time ninja. Huge fan of comic books, hot showers, intelligence and soup.

Polite, clean and organized, but also a certified procrastinator. Addicted to coffee. Able to solve the world problems over a bottle of red wine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Sometimes you just need a place to sleep, other times you could use a local guide. The best way to explore a new city is not through Lonely Planet but through the recommendations of the ones already living there!

If I agree to host you, I might not always have the time to guide you but I can offer you a free couch. I hope that one day you can return the favor.

You will have to pass the pre-approval audition by my 2 cats. It's an allergy test and it's uncheatable.

Interests

Dance, music, film, literature, photography. Anything that makes you feel better about yourself, makes you think or gives you knowledge.

“Life is a shitstorm, in which art is our only umbrella." (Mario Vargas Llosa)

Music, Movies, and Books

Books that made lasting impressions: When I was 10 - The Neverending Story. When I was 20 - Catcher in the Rye. When I was 30 - anything of J.M. Coetzee. When I was 35 - The Gargoyle. Without books, life is incomplete

I don't watch TV, but I try to follow George Clooney's advice to see one movie a day.

Behold! There's only good music and shit. I prefer good music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being able to survive living in Cairo 1 year after the Arab Spring. Got used to cockroaches, showering in cold water, no electricity for hours, sandstorms, insane traffic, endless staring, political conspiracies, everlasting cold and hardly getting anything done. It was a test to patience and stamina and I am happy to have made it out alive.

Teach, Learn, Share

What you give is what you get!
