CURRENT MISSION

My current mission right now is to to explore life. I long to go to as many places as possible, meet new people, acquire new life perspectives from other cultures and individuals. I want to have good times to be remembered with joy in the future.

ABOUT ME

I am a brazilian student, 20 years old, living in Manchester, England for one year. I study Civil Engineering here and i am trying to get to travel around Europe (and surrounding continents, if possible) as much as I can during this time away from home.

I consider myself very open minded person. Although I am reserved I am very interested in people and it would be lovely to have hosts that would introduce me a different way of dealing with life.

For this year my travelling resolutions are to discover the country where I am living (the UK) plus continuing to travel to other countries.

PHILOSOPHY

Hard one... my personal philosophy is yet changing and being constructed. But I think one of my strongest personal philosopies is never to judge or question what I don't know deeply. And, more important, who I don't know deeply.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As I am living in a tiny room in my uni accomodationm this year I will only participate as surfer and travelling.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new in the couch surfing world. I had my first experience this year, 2014, in Spain. So far I have already stayed in eight different houses thanks to couchsurfing ( Valencia, two in Madrid,Dublin,Verona, Florence,Athens and Malta). I am looking forward to have much more CS experience by the end of August, when I return to Brazil

I love travelling and i'm really interesting in learning more about different cultures. Also, like reading and films :)

One of my biggest interests is to listen. Just listening to people and what they have to say. I am not much of a talker but I love to get to know others point of view.

I enjoy many kinds of music, but these days I've been hearing a lot of brazilian music, probably because I'm not in my country right now and I miss it. Brazil has loads of good rock, samba, sertanejo (country) and MPB music.

Usually I listen to:
The Smiths, The Kooks, Skank, Maroon 5, Domiguinhos ...

Favorite books: On the Road, Love in the times cholera and The phostumous memoirs of Bras Cubas.
I a big fan of books and literature. I always try to read the classics to check why they are so prestigious. But also, I have some very modern books in my shell, like the Songs of Ice and Fire Books.

Also love watching movies... it's one of my favorite hobbies, watching films with friends. I'd say my favorite one is Amelie Poulain.I think is because I identify with the main character, I am introspective and a daydreamer just like her.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

One of the most amazing experiences I had so far was the road trip among the Atlas Mountains in Morocoo, when going to the Saara Desert. Although I avoid to drive, I am very enthusiastic about road trips, because is one of the best ways of really enjoying a trip and a country.On our way back from the desert we discovered the road was closed due to snow, and we had to travel 400 more kilometers than expected. We spent the whole day travelling playing games with the people in our van.
