ABOUT ME

I'm a very dynamic person, I can't stand still :-) I need my schedule to be always (over)busy, otherwise I get bored easily... I must have things to do!!
When I was younger and still in high school or university, I went to school in the morning, studied in the afternoon and then: 2-3 times a week I worked at the swimming pool as lifeguard and swimming teacher (afternoon/evenings), on Saturday morning I worked at a local bakery (to earn some money) and on Sundays nights I volunteered as a paramedic on ambulances. Quite a full schedule, isn't it?!? :-) My life, even today, is always like it and I love it!!

After studying foreign languages (university) PR and communication (master), I worked in the PR industry for 5 years, between Italy and France (where I moved in 2007). Then, at 30, I decided to change it all! I wasn't satisfied anymore of what I was doing, I found it meaningless and empty to me. I wanted to do something useful and help people... this is why I quit my job and went back to school to study naturopathy (natural medicine). Today I'm a Naturopathic Practitioner, I teach anatomy/physiology at my former Naturopathy school, I continue being a volunteer paramedic for the French Red Cross and I have a HUGE interest in medical subjects! This is why, at 32, I haven't stopped studying and I'm currently a medical student :-) I know, it's a veeeeery looong path, but it's been a dream ever since I was a kid... so, what do I have to lose? :-)
One more thing: I loooove animals, and I'm a foster family for abandoned/abused cats waiting for adoption!

PHILOSOPHY

It's never too late to be who you might have been!!! (otherwise I wouldn't have enrolled to med school at 32 :-)))

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

About 3 weeks in the US, my very first courchsurfing experience, I think I can say the most amazing vacations ever!!!

Intereses

I have a huge passion for anything in the medical or paramedical industry!
I love animals and I think they are often way better than human beings.
And of course, I looooove travelling and making friends all over the world!
And also... cooking and eating!!, reading, swimming, sunbathing, diving, people with positive thinking and good energy, proactive people.

Música, películas y libros

I really love reading... actually, I can't live without a book to read!
Among my favourite books so far:
- Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami (I love all his books)

- River God by Wilbur Smith (if you like novels with a love story, war, historical facts, etc. you'll adore this book. I cried a lot at the end :-))

- The whole Harry Potter saga (I read it in Italian French and English. I think the writer, JK Rowling, has an amazing imagination, I was surprised by every single ideas on each page!! The books are faaaar better than the movies!!)

At the moment, on my bedside table: The Hunger Games (the whole saga) and Paulo Coelho's Aleph.

I love all music but, above all, music with a melody to sing. This is why house music is not really for me... I love going to the theatre to see operas and ballets, I grew up playing piano, so I have a special affection for classical music.
