About Me
CURRENT MISSION
6 months of travelling, from the start of October to the start of April! Meet lots of people, broaden my horizon and be adventurous. The plan is sort of to not have a plan =) That way I'm flexible to adjust to wherever I feel like going, and whatever I feel like doing. I do have an idea, though I won't mind leaving out/adding places as I go.
Starting in Japan, planning on going to:
Asia: India, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore.
America: probably stop by California for a while, then down to Central America, where I at least want to go to Cuba. Then I'll head downwards through Central America and continue focusing mainly on the western part of South America.
ABOUT ME
Sociable and friendly, always open for new experiences =) I don't take myself too seriously, and am quick to burst into a smile/laugh.
PHILOSOPHY
Trying to achieve happiness through experiences and relations with people, I guess =)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My participation is sadly limited to the experience described below, but I hope to step it up!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I only have one couchsurfing experience. Before I embarked on the transsiberian/transmongolian railway from Moscow to Beijing, I stayed with a very hospitable host in St. Petersburg for two days. That was a very positive experience, and I hope to get even more during my 6 months journey!
Interests
Sports, movies/documentaries, working out, computer/internet (reddit) and playing the guitar/piano as well as just hanging out. And travelling of course!

Music, Movies, and Books
Any music genre can potentially produce good music. Lately been listening to the tallest man on earth, mumford and sons and other similar artists. Been going to the festival Øya in Oslo two years in a row, which has a lot of up-and-coming bands as well as semi famous headliners. Loved the experience =)
Finishing up Shantaram right now. Amazing story influenced by real events in the life of the author, vivid portrayal of the intense life in Bombay.
I like a lot of movie types, ranging from the epic eye candy to the weird niche movies where the whole movie is basically a long conversation. I agree on the fact that the shawshank redemption is at the top of imdb's movie list.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Studied at the University of Santa Barbara, California as an exchange student for a year. Just living there was awesome, but I also got to travel a lot. Highaway 1 to LA in the sunset, hiking down to the plateau of Grand Canyon, Mardi Gras in New Orleans(!) and lots of other memorable experiences.
Says "One amazing thing I've done", but just want to add that I also was in Brazil during the world cup 2014. Just being there, soaking up the Brazilian football frenzy was really cool!
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: guitar, piano, football, engineering and bridge design :p
Learn: whatever you know and want to teach.
Share: experiences. Let me get a peek into your everyday life and I bet I'll find what you think is mundane very interesting =)
