About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To collect amazing memories before I die.

ABOUT ME

Hi there! I'm an avid traveller who loves taking road trips. For most of the year, I live in Spain...but during the summer months, you can probably find me in a car travelling through the US!
This is my first time using couchsurfing but I've hosted and have been hosted more than a few times. Can't wait to meet new people through this awesome program!!!

PHILOSOPHY

"Keep learning, never stop being curious about the mysteries of life, open your mind, reinvent yourself if the situation demands it instead of giving up" I'd say these mottos pretty much describe the way I try to live my life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I occassionally host, occassionally surf and occasionally meet people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I got to know this program thanks to my partner Melissa Chen and quickly fell in love with it. Before I created my account, Mel & I used to host people who needed a place to crash on. Last year, we rented a very nice apartment in Marbella, Spain, where we had a guest room with a comfortable bed. :)

Unfortunately, right now we don't have a house to host people. We have to wait a few weeks to decide where we are moving to. :(

As a surfer, not a host, I've surfed with some people in San Diego, San Francisco & Portland, all of them were wonderful experiences. I met really warm people thanks to this, so I can't wait for more couchsurfing!

Interests

I love movies. From Nolan to Chaplin, anything made by Pixar and lately really into tv series: The Sopranos, The Wire & Breaking Bad are my personal series triumvirate.
I also go crazy for videogames, Metal Gear Solid & The Last of Us are just art. Oh, comics are cool too (hooked on The Walking Dead).
Huge fan of Ryan Adams & Bob Dylan, and occasional shitty pop music lover.
That's pretty much it. Oh yes, I also love talking about politics and how fucked our world is.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I consider myself a cinephile, so I enjoy all kinds of good movies, regardless of the decade or the country. To name a few, my top films are Pulp Fiction, The Seventh Seal, The Great Dictator, Psycho, Up!, Wall-e, Toy Story, Jurassic Park, Apocalypse Now!, Crimes & Misdemeanors, among many others!

Music: Huge fan of Ryan Adams (not to be confused with Bryan Adams, please!), Bob Dylan, Tom Waits and some Spanish artists like Quique González, Kiko Veneno and Le Parody. But I have to admit that my ear is also easily open to all genres.

Books: I've read lots of books in my lifetime. Lately, not so many, to be honest, but I try to read at least three or four books per year. The last books I read were The Hobbit, A Song of Ice and Fire, Utopia by Thomas More and The Prince by Machiavelli.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Contemplating the sunset at Delicate Arch in The Arches National Park with my girlfriend (now wife) is something that will be hard to forget. It was a gift for our eyes.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, as a matter of fact I make a living being a teacher. When the Spanish government has enough money, I work as a public teacher, teaching Geography and History. The rest of the time, I enjoy teaching Spanish and English, my two favorite languages.
I can also give a few basic ukulele & guitar tips, even though it'd be easier for me if you are left-handed like me! ;)
