About Me

Hi!
I am Thaïs, 21, student in international relations in Paris! I am actually in a sabbatical year in Russia, trying to learn the language.
Traveling is my true passion and I spend all summers working as a waitress in order to travel whenever I can!
With my boyfriend, we will spend two weeks in Iran. It is our dream to visit this country, which has such an amazing History and Culture!
Both used to travel, we are very easy-going and open minded people.
We look forward meeting you soon!! :D

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This is the best way I know to meet people and embrace the culture as we often get to meet the host's friends. I don't really like hostels as it is often too separated from the real life of the people leaving in the same city!

Interests

Traveling, learning languages, discovering cultures which are different than mine, being amazed by architecture and wild nature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

That's a tricky question...
My best memory from a trip is when I had a scooter accident in Laos, very far away from any city and we were welcomed by a family for the night. They insisted on giving us their bed. They are the most generous people I have ever met and I will forever remember them.
My second one is my time in Bali, where I dived for the first time in the most amazing place I have ever seen: a boat covered with corals and colored fishes.

Teach, Learn, Share

Actually in Russia, I live with a Russian family. They help me improve my Russian language knowledge and I teach them English and French. This is the most rewarding experience I ever had. I am grateful for sharing the daily life of a Russian family.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a very happy person and if you need a cure of smiling, here I am! My boyfriend and I would be very happy to help you in any way you need, sharing with you our experiences and listen to yours!
