Music, Movies, and Books
I like to listen to a wide range of musicians, mainly pop, rock, R&B, singer-songwriters, some electronic, some jazz, and a bit of classical.
Some of my favourite movies are comedies; think Woody Allen, the Marx brothers or Charles Chaplin. More recently I have really enjoyed Asis Anzari's 'Masters of none'. However, I also enjoy good dramas and foreign movies.
I read quite a bit; mainly non-fiction, both magazines and books. I am a subscriber of 'The Economist' and recently, at home, we have been thoroughly enjoying the quarterlies 'Womankind' and 'New Philosopher'. Some of my favourite non-fiction books include 'Practical ethics' and 'Thinking fast and slow'; while in fiction, I have loved authors with some serious dry and/or dark humour like Javier Maris, Jonathan Swift and Laurence Stern.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Moving across the world to be with Phillipa.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach English, Spanish and Catalan. As well as lots of things about the little known Catalan culture, history, politics, etc.
I enjoy sharing photography tips, and random things like how to interact with a horse and -although I haven't practised in a while- how to juggle three balls.
I like to learn people stories, their culture and opinions. That, of course, may include food, music, language, etc.
