About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Making each day a daily adventure, keeping things simple and authentic, sharing always sharing
ABOUT ME
Officially : French master student in Communication between Paris and Shanghaï
Informally : an energetic person, culturally curious, socially open.
Back from a year abroad in Vancouver, this one gave me the opportunity to surf in a bunch of different places, to host people from all over the world in a international family house and to live some adventures that I would never have without it.
After this year, I feel more than ever lit up by some adventurous spirit and by the desire to meet and share with people without prejudges, just spontaneity and open-mindedness.
PHILOSOPHY
I take the life as it comes but not without forcing the chance, create my own opportunities !
One of my motto is "the life is a long quiet river only for people who ignore its tumults".
Meeting new people helps me to build myself, to pay attention to all the things which surrounded me. It belongs to each person to make its own way by creating opportunities to meet people, to discover the unknown ...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
During my year abroad in Vancouver I have joined the BATcaVE, a kind of community house, trully dedicated to CS.
This house is more than just a building : the spirit of the Batcave is to be a place for meeting with people from all over the world, have fun and hang out with them, share our respective experiences and enjoy a good moment with nice persons.
The Batcave is like a big family since each couchsurfer who pass by this place is linked to it.
Monthly parties are organized to gather all the people and enjoy a thematic night all together !
So if you get the chance to cross Vancouver on your path, make a stop by the BATcaVE, you won't regret it !
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first surfing experience was in February 2014.
I have been hosted with friends in Hawaii and our hosts were really available for discovering this place and I have spent such a good time with them. During this time I learnt a bit of Yukulele, discovered the Pear Harbor military base and the Waimea Canyon.
Interests
I practise a lot of sports, Volleyball, running, biking, some swimming occasionally. I'm also engaged in several associations like the Hitchhiking association of my university.
Hitchhiking is for me a continuation of the approach and values of CS.
Music, Movies, and Books
As a musician (violonist, but not a classical one), music is one of my passion but I've never taken the time to expand my musical universe.
So always up to discover new artists, to share music.
About the book, I'm currently reading the incredible 5 years world travel of a french hitchhiker and my next books will be "into the wild" and "on the road". Travel literature inspires me but do not replace real travels !
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
From May to June 2014, I did 6000km of hitchhiking by my own, from Vancouver to San Francisco and then from Vancouver to Chicago. A way to challenge myself, to experience the very notion of distance and to meet wonderful human being on the road.
My humanitarian trip to Guinea in 2012 was also very meaningful. I just met wonderful people there, especially one of the teacher of the primary school we rebuilt, who was so generous and protective.
The volunteership experience I did in Malaysia also in 2012 allowed me to discover for the 1st time of my life the diversity and the richness of the Asian continent.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can TEACH : French, some cooking (mostly pastry), the art of eating cheese haha
I want to LEARN : Chinese (Mandarin), more cooking, photography
