Thanks to couchsurfing I made a lot of friends around the world. It´s not about stay somewhere for free but about experience and making new friends. It´s wonderful community and you know there are still many nice and helpful people. When I have some spare time I like to host people because it´s nice distraction from stereotype and lot of fun!
