About Me
CURRENT MISSION
enjoying the road!
ABOUT ME
I was raised in a tiny village in La Mancha, in the center of Spain. It was good to be there, we built up huts in the forest, we learnt to love nature and there were no rules, no time to go home. Eventually, it turned out to be so tiny, so I moved to Madrid looking for some contrast (and independence xD), there I learnt to deal with the civilization, traffic and the university. Again, the city ended up being so big, so I moved abroad, to Göttingen. And currently this is the place I live in, it is the perfect mixture of both sides: we have nature and things to do everyday. What will the next step be? I don't have any guess. The road will be next!
PHILOSOPHY
If you want to do it, then you can do it!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I can offer a couch in Göttingen and I try to attend couchsurfing meetings there.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
While I was living in Madrid, my flatmates hosted surfers from Germany, South America and Spain, and this is how I discovered Couchsurfing. All experiences were enriching and pleasant. I especially remember a guy from Germany who stopped in Madrid before going to Chile looking for adventure, he was a photographer and planned to collect the best pics of South American deserts. Good people!
Interests
As you can see (or maybe not, haha), randomness is important in my life, I consider that especially when traveling, randomness makes a trip funnier and the most exciting experiences come up just when a minimum set of things are established. I enjoy so much to cook with people, especially if nobody have prepared the dish before! I love to hike, both in the mountains and by the seaside. I started taking pictures some years ago and now I cannot stop doing it, the more I learn, the more engaged I am with my camera. I also enjoy so much sharing different points of view with people from different cultures as a way of discovering facets that remain hidden from our own opinion. Debate (if possible, with wine) is crucial for a healthy mind and spirit. Something I've been doing lately is to attend concerts of new bands in Göttingen, and it's amazing to discover them in small stages. I also enjoy learning from other people and doing any kind of handicraft together. Do it yourself! it can be worse, but it will be much funnier ;)

Music, Movies, and Books
Jack Kerouac, Bukowski, García Márquez, Into the Wild, Closer, Fight Club... Electronic, indie, math-rock, experimental music... That's better to discuss directly at a table with some beers
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Getting stuck in the frozen Baltic sea halfway between Tallinn and Helsinki was amazing. Endless icy blocks landscape, full moon, blurry city lights in the horizon, friends, free dinner, vodka, feeling the closeness of sinking... Unforgettable! Also, when we were trying to hitchhike to go uphill to Lagos de Covadonga in Asturias, night fell over us and we slept under a starry wet night sky... and a waiter that was passing by gave us free dinner from his restaurant!
Teach, Learn, Share
Of course I can arrange some crash course in Spanish, Spanish dishes to cook, how to survive mixing everything you have in the fridge when the supermarket is closed or you ran out of money, and getting something tasty, a bit of photography (I would love to learn from you, or just go taking pics together to learn more). Actually we can learn and teach everything, it just depends on the needs we have at a certain moment!
