Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Up to now, I've always been a 'co-hoster'. Me an my boyfriend have been hosting together for a few years, but by making my own profile, I want to show surfers a little bit more about myself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I got to know couchsurfing.com by my boyfriend Reinout Schrijver, who was a active host before I got to know him. At first I was a bit sceptical, but as I met more and more surfers who came to stay over, it made me more enthousiastic about the concept. Most of the times I'm pleasantly surprised by the openmindedness of surfers and the interesting stories they have to tell.
Beside it always feels a little bit like a mini-holiday in my own country,whenever we get the change to show surfers around and see the view from their eyes. :) Haven't surfed yet myself, but I would love to get to know this other side as well!

Interests

I love to paint, hang out with friends, go to concerts, the beach, movies and festivals in the summertime. I like all kinds of music, from the Triggerfinger to the Beatles and from music from Mali to Goldfrapp, Pearl Jam and Bonobo. I'm also always curious to discover new countries to travel. 10 Years ago I made a threemonth trip to Thailand and I would love to go back some day.
