Overview
About Me
I just graduated from university this summer and now I'm taking advantage of my freedom to see the planet!
Before I take part in any further study I want to experience cultures of the world and make friends in new places. I always seem to meet the most interesting people when travelling and it's a tradition I hope to continue.
I've been lucky enough to travel a lot these past few years during university breaks and I always have an amazing time. The past two summers in 2014 and 2015 I spent a month and a half travelling in the Baltic countries and Poland, and then Ireland with my boyfriend. We had such an amazing time that we decided we wanted to go travelling much longer and much further away, and hence we've ended up in Japan after two months of travelling in China and South Korea!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Me and my boyfriend (Sam) have just graduated and so we are free to explore with the main limit on our travel being money. We are hoping to travel all around East Asia and so anybody who can help us out by hosting us is doing a great favour!
Interests
I have very broad interests - I'm happy to try/hear/talk about everything and anything!
I love reading (although my literature degree has somewhat numbed me!) and I'm always interested in hearing new music. The last band I saw live was King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard and before that I saw Donovan, so age is no limit!
I've been playing the piano on and off for years now and if you give me some time I should be able to play a nice tune.
If you're passionate about anything then I'd love to hear it. Everything is more enjoyable when you hear it from someone who cares.

Music, Movies, and Books
It's hard to list as I constantly keep trying to find out about new things but the Beatles, Pink Floyd, MGMT, and Lou Reed are general mainstays when it comes to music. As for movies I've recently been enjoying films made by Richard Linklater and the last book I read was George Orwell's 1984 (finally!).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Paragliding over one of the most beautiful places on the earth in Pokhara, Nepal!
Teach, Learn, Share
All I know is that I don't know anything - and I really mean it! Take Socrates seriously
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share with hosts good conversation about pretty much anything - I'm fascinated by philosophy, as well as politics, history, literature and psychology, and could debate with you for hours about these topics. Whenever I visit a new country I always try my hardest to immerse myself in its history, literature, arts and politics and so am very eager to learn more from you about your country if you are interested in telling me.
I feel like I have had many experiences, thoughts and ideas in my life that are worth sharing and I will happily tell you about them as well as listen to you about your adventures and ideas!
I speak a number of languages and have taught English in Asia before, so if I'm spending quite a while at your place and you are very eager to learn Dutch, Danish, French or English I am happy to make a real effort to teach you!
