About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Doing my best.

ABOUT ME

I am quite chaotic person with artistic soul but at the same time I am well organized and specific.
My friends say I am old fashioned, but although I can have "vintage style" but I do not support "vintage values".
I am very open mined and tolerant.
Because of my style (I'm pale, wear mostly, but not only, black clothes inspired by the 80s and gothic subculture) and the fact, that I look after two black cats named after Egyptian pharaohs, my acquintances sometimes call me a witch. Or a vampire. You choose ;).

I'm vegetarian for 15 years now. I could call myself an environmentalist. Our planet is our home and we all have to take the responsibility for Her.

PHILOSOPHY

Be yourself and don't feel shy with it. Live is to short to care about what others think about you.
Love our planet.
Give others goodness and it will be returned to you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Using couchsurfingis just something totally different, than staying in even the fanciest hotel.
There's no better way to know local folklore than Couchsurfing.

I do not have big experience, but every stay was unique and i have great memories about it.

Interests

Ancient Egypt, historical fashion, crafts, polish folklore - to name just few.
I am self taught seamstress, interested mostly in historical fashion (XIXth/XX century), but also keen on modern sewing.
Anything connected to needlework is within my field of interest.

I love learning languages, that's why I usually learn few simultaneously.
Right now I am mastering my German, so if you speak that language I am open to take a conversation auf Deutsch.

I work in a museum about post-war history of Wrocław, but history is also my hobby. Except sewing historical costumes I am also a part of reenactment group "Krynolina" - showing civilians life in XIXth and XX century.

Knowlege is power, that's why I like to learn new things everyday.

Music, Movies, and Books

Hard to say in few words. I'm mad about 80's post punk but also open to other genres. Althrough my biggest love is classical music, especially baroque and romantic era.

I used to play oboe, but had to suspend it some years ago. My plan for now is to buy an instrument and come back to playing this magical instrument.

I am a book lover - when it comes to reading but also owning books.
My fav genres are moral novels, non-fiction and fairy tales. I am also learning the art of book binding.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Took care of two cats.

Went to Riga with my sister to Black Sabbath gig (before they split up).

Did my Erasmus exchange in Prague.

Sewing.

Teach, Learn, Share

Learning from other people - or by experience, as we can also say - is the best way to gain new knowledge.
I am open to learn you something about needlework (mostly sewing, that's what I'm the best at).

I would like learn from you anything, that you would like to teach me.
People, their stories and experience are the best teachers.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Some say I'm a good listener.
This can be true, as I prefer good conversation rather than a loud party.
