My husband and I are "live differently" kind of people. We travel hack like its nobodies business to see the world, and when our feet are on U.S. soil, they tend to be in climbing shoes. We are both currently obtaining our Master's degrees from UC Davis. We will be working with poor, rural, farmers across the world in pursuit of solutions to bring in more family income to better cope with unexpected life challenges

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I couchsurf because seeing the world is about meeting people. People give the flavor to culture and language and clothing and streets. I want to couchsurf because I live on the cheap, but that is only because the real adventure is with people, not inside hotel walls (unless you get those nights free through travel hacking!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While living in Peru and empowering girls through sports I trained a girl to run 10km and raised the funds to fly her to the capital (Lima) for her first ever trip out of Cusco and first ever race. That was 2 years ago and she hasn't stopped running since.

I can share my travel tips on how to see the world for cheap and free. i can also cook the best beans and rice you've ever had. i can be as involved or as not as a host would like, but you can count on me to leave the place and the space better than I found it.
