About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Working as a doctor but keep on studying to become a better one. Also trying to get some time to enjoy myself hanging out with friends, meeting new people and up for learning everything about new cultures!
ABOUT ME
Open minded and happy person who tries to find the bright side of life at every point. I guess as all of you, travelling is one of my favourite hobbies, but i've got some more. I'm bad at sports, not perfect at any language, but I love talking and sharing moments. No matter if we don't speak the same language, we will find a way to understand ourselves :)
PHILOSOPHY
I know it is utopian, but I prefer to believe in people. Good people in a good world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It is just a different way to know a place and its people. You will never get to know a place well if you don't mix with local people, and go to local places. But it's not just that, it's not all about people and places, it's also about feelings. With this method you get to the deep heart of an intense trip: experiences are not always as dreamt but they are always rewarding. I bet every host or every guest has taught you something you will never forget, and that you will never forget them. And most of the times you'll connect with them, and make new friends. It's much more than accommodation for free.
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Could consider the possibility of hosting interesting people with interesting petitions (no more than 2 people and 2 nights). I just answer to personal requests, i'm not a hotel.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I offered my places a few times when I was living abroad and also hosted international people I met during different exchanges. I have travelled with this method already 7 times, but I feel I'm gonna start using it more often cause living abroad just made me aware of the cultural wealth you reach meeting LOCALS and SHARING everything you've got (even if is not a place to stay, just a conversation or a cup of tea) with everyone. Definetely CS is a way of life!
Interests
I won't be quite repetitive. I like travelling and meeting people, sure. But I also like:
- Eating sunflower seeds while watching TV
- Watching at the people on the metro and imagining their lives
- Collecting colorful papers and postcards from everywhere to make stupid collages when I'm supposed to be studying.
- WHAT ELSE? I don't know, I like everything. Sometimes I feel hyperactive and I like to cook, to read and to do sport. Some other times I just love the SIESTA (spanish cliché but don't care).
- I also like partying. And good beer. I like wine, coffee and tea too, but beer goes first.
- cooking
- wine
- beer
- coffee
- partying
- traveling
- socializing
- camping
- medicine
Music, Movies, and Books
When people asks about A FAVOURITE song, film or book I never know what to answer.
It's kind of a taboo question I try to avoid, but let's give a try:
- Music: I like almost every music gender, mostly indie-rock, jazz, bossa nova and calm music. But when it's time to dance... all the genders are wecolme, specially latino!
- Films: I guess I like calm, happy and different movies, but I'm up to everything. Typical American films as the stereotype of perfect love or family are not my favorite ones, but sometimes you end with one of those.
- Books: what a hard question. Since I got stuck on the last one I was reading (well, I still read) I haven't read much. I feel I have to finish it but I can't cause it's so boring. Do you recommend me an interesting one to turn the page?
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Rafting in an amazing river of Montenegro with a bunch of people from all over the world. We slept in a lost camping and stopped to have a beer in a kind of "oasis" in the middle of the Tara river where there was a really beautiful (but freezing) waterfall. A good experience...
Teach, Learn, Share
I've always loved teaching, from maths to English, to cooking (I got much better and now I am a master chef of the tortilla and paella). I can teach whatever I know, my language and all my knowledge about the places people want to visit. You can ask me about a diagnosis too if you feel sick guys, but I wouldn't trust myself THAT MUCH as a doctor (yet... hahaha).
What I Can Share with Hosts
Probably my experience or/and knowdlege, interesting conversations, laughters, and I will always try to make you smile!
I can also offer 100000 hugs (ha! were you thinking I was offering money?) and probably a good dinner for a better host.
