Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's a nice way of meeting new people, especially when I have no idea where I'm going to stay and I have the whole trip planned BUT lodging.

Interests

Writing, reading, doing yoga or ballet exercises.
I love a good interior design, I love flowers and I hope to have a garden of my own one day with lots of flower variety.
I'd like to learn to speak Spanish (which I understand relatively okay).
I love listening to Finnish and it would be nice to learn to speak it, but it's a tough language to learn.

Music, Movies, and Books

If it doesn't make me feel, stimulate or inspire me, I don't listen to it, watch it or read it. But once I start reading a book or a movie or a tv show, I need to see how the story gets to the end.

My favourite band is Nightwish, but I also love a good musical, ballet, Ella Fitzgerald, ethno and classical music, contemporary... My eclectic style draws the line at techno/trance and pop music because I can't connect with it. Children of Dune soundtrack by Brian Tyler makes me unbelievably happy together with Battlestar Galactica soundtrack.

Books... Dune series by Frank Herbert, Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling. Song for Arbonne by G.G. Kay always makes me cry together with his Lions of Al-Rassan.

I like Battlestar Galactica tv series, Doctor Who with an occasional science fiction and fantasy thing thrown in for good measure.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have done a lot of amazing things which may not seem amazing to others who have different life experiences, but they were to me.
I decided not to pursue a Master's degree because I (amazingly) realized it's not a career I want to have. It was a brave thing for someone with my upbringing to do.
I traveled to the US and went up and down east coast for 2 and half months and in the last few years I've overcome more fears than I thought I had. Which is amazing :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak English and Croatian and I love learning something new and always love teaching people some Croatian words and phrases.
I have a good eye for beautiful things and design so I can share some ideas if anybody asks for them.
I love sharing information I know, so if you have an interest in something, feel free to share and ask. You never know when a small piece of information, insignificant to us, can be of huge value to another.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share stories from my travels and things that I've learned along the way. I love a good heart-to-heart conversation.
I know a lot of little things about lots of things, so it really depends what they're interested in.
