ABOUT ME

I'm easy going, energetic and adventurous. I love to travel around my country as well as abroad. I enjoy cooking for people and sharing stories about life and travel. I'm a writer and a teacher. I'm passionate about travel, connecting with people, Traditional Chinese Medicine and music. My favorite past time is hiking. Generally when I travel, I seek out geographically unique and awe-inspiring landscapes and people watching in crowded visually stimulating markets. Ideally, I would like to make Portland my home base while experiencing the world with a family.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have only surfed once, but I mainly use CS for networking with other travelers and meeting new people who will both challenge and inspire me.

CS is an excellent networking group. So far everyone that I met through it has inspired me to travel more.

watching a volcano erupt below me while standing at the peak of a higher one in Guatemala, sailed through parts of the Caribbean, the Badlands and Yellowstone National Parks in the U.S., Jeita Grotto cave in Lebanon, road a camel all day and then slept on a sand dune under The Milky Way in India near the Pakistan boarder, and the ancient Nabatean city in Saudi Arabia. In Sri Lanka, under the light of a nearly full moon, I watched a giant sea turtle dig a hole, lay her eggs, then waddle back into the tide, dive into the turquoise crest and swim off.

I can teach people the basics of preventative health, mainly through cooking and dietary recommendations, how to poi dance, and travel throughout the US, the Middle East, and parts of Central America.
