About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Barcelona! I'm coming!
ABOUT ME
Hello! I'm Dawid, a Culture Studies student and a long-term hostel receptionist. I hate introducing myself and all these "I'm like that, blahblahblah" kind of thing so I'll make it quick. I'm outgoing, talkative (all right, you should know that I'm a big chatterbox) and open, like to meet people and share thoughts. I also like partying but I'm more a pub than a club person, you shouldn't be bored with me though. When you meet me, you'll get your own opinion anyway!
PHILOSOPHY
Some kind of idontcareism and living a day but sometimes I do care, even too much...
... and I like to read Nietzsche, even though I very often don't agree with him. He was just such an intelligent man. And pretty good writer.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Right now I'm heading to Barcelona to find a job (yeah, seriously, I know it's a perfect time for that :)) and live there for some time. It, for sure, takes a while to find something so I will surely need your Catalonian couches.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've just started and hope to enjoy surfing the couches!
Interests
Lots of stuff:
Films - that's my specialization on University;
Sport - many disciplines, from snooker to boxing but especially football and especially Primera División, and especially FC Barcelona (have been culé since I was a little kid);
Beer - not only for getting stoned ;) I've been trying to be more consious drinker recently, I love to discover new beer types and flavours, India Pale Ale is my favourite so far, I bloody recommend this style;
Languages - I really find them fascinating and definitely want to know more then I do now but unfortunately I'm not a polyglot yet :)
Music - I just love to dig up some unknown or underrated bands but - I hope - not in a hipster way :D I also play a guitar.

Books - I really love Cormac McCarthy for his powerful and raw style of narration and Gothic South setting, Bruno Schulz for imagination and the longest and most beautiful sentences I've read, Russian writers for their wonderful style
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hmmm... Don't know if that's amazing but I've been a contestant in one of the most prestigious Polish quiz shows on national telly. What's more I got to the finale but unfortunately finished second place. The guy I lost against was a pro in quiz shows. Clever bastard! :D
And once I went with my friend on round trip from Warsaw to Barcelona only by hitchhiking (train from Barcelona to Figueres doesn't matter, does it?). 5000 km, many people on the road, many good memories.
