CURRENT MISSION

Exploring Europe by bicycle with my girlfriend, Astrid. We sleep in a tent in the wild and - when possible - enjoy couch surfing. This is our second adventure, after a week of camping in Iceland in the winter. We left from Bergen (Norway) and we want to reach Basel (Denmark), where we will start a new life together.

I'm a very outgoing person who likes meeting new people. Currently, I'm a Biotechnology university student.
I recently graduated from a Bachelor's degree in the University of Barcelona and will pursue a Master's degree in Biotechnology at ETH Zürich.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I enjoy travelling very much, so I intend to take advantge of this site as much as I can.
In order to keep this site going, I'm also glad to have people over, as long as they can teach me something new (I'm just asking for one new thing!).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I'm very happy with how CS works and with the people that make it such a good site. I've had a danish girl come over and had a great time with her.
While I was in Basel I started talking to a guy and after a while he told me he was in CS and that if I wanted me and my travelling friend could stay at his place. Also wonderful experience.

Interests

Jogging is one of my latest passions. Speaking in different languages is another thing I enjoy, for the moment I can speak fluently Spanish, Catalan and English. I'm also very interested in learning from other cultures, new points of view (who is right and who is wrong? everybody has a little bit of truth!). Oh, and love the TV series 'Friends', my favorite character is Chandler (2014 update: I met him!).

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is one thing I can talk for hours about. I enjoy almost every kind of music (does the style really matter if the song is good?). Right now I'm very into minimal and rap (very different, I know).

I don't watch so many movies, I'd rather stick with a TV series for a long time than watch a movie for one day. I really like funny TV shows like HIMYM, The Big Bang Theory, Friends, Modern Family,... I'm also very into Game of Thrones (everyone tells me I should read the book, but for now I'm ok with the tv series :) ).

I'm not reading so much lately, but a couple of years back I spent hours with some of Cornelia Funke's books (Inkheart is probably one of my favorite books, I read it a long time ago, I'll probably reread it soon). Lois Lowry (The Giver, Gathering the Blue) is also another writer with which I've spent a lot of time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While crossing Schwarzwald (the Black Forest) I saw more trees and vegetation than anywhere in my life.

Lived in Boston for two years during my childhood. This changed the way I think and the way I see the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you want to practice Spanish, Catalan or English, I'm the right person! I'm a very expressive person who tries to always find a way to make myself understood: from making drawings to making faces.

I can cook some basic dishes (I think it's best if I don't write them here, I don't want to embarrass myself), so I'm really interested in learning new things in the kitchen. Do you know any tasty dishes I can learn easily?
