About Me
Hi Everyone!
My name is Tomasz, currently living and working in Germany but not for much long! Together with my wife we have decided to take career break and travel starting early 2025.
I originally come from small town in Poland (Suwałki), but for many years I have studied and worked in Warsaw. After getting married together with my wife we have decided to move to Germany to experience living in another country. We have been there for almost 2 years now.
Being in nature and trying new things is what drives me. I love travelling, meeting new people and discovering new cultures. I like sports and outdoor activitiees, especially trekking (This year together with my wife we did TMB!). I am easy-going and always eager to learn new things. I love sharing stories and experiences.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to get in touch with people from other countries. I believe that sharing stories, our passions or habits can make us wiser and more understanding. Besides, spending time with new people is always fun ;)
At first I have used CS to look for hosts and meeting with new people during my smaller or bigger trips. After that I started hosting myself as I had great opportunity to do that in Warsaw. Times changed, apartments changed and unfortunatelly I lost that opportunity. Hopefully one day I'll have a chance to host people again as I truly loved that.
Now myself and my wife are planning a career break where we would love to meet with new people, share ideas and stories!

Music, Movies, and Books
All kinds of music, really. Depends on the mood and situation. I can jump straight from Polish rap through classic jazz to electronic music. Anyway, there is one band, that I will keep in my heart forever - Radiohead.
I like movies which force me to reevaluate my thinking and show me new persperctives. Maybe because of that lately I've been more into good quality documentaries. Nevertheless, I enjoy action movies or good comedies from time to time as well.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Going on a bus (VW Transporter T4) trip through Balkans to Istanbul and back, with people who I met on facebook. That was one of the best trips I have ever had.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you about power / electrical engineering as this is my profession. However, I do know that for most people it's not an interesting topic at all ;). I can teach you how to ride a longboard or how to play some basic riffs on guitar (hopefully I still remember them myself). I also know how to cook some of typical Polish meals so I can teach you that.
I would like to get to know about other cultures as much as I can. Basically I love learning new things, so anything new that you can teach me, will be valuable.
I will gladly share with you my stories ;)
