About Me
ABOUT ME
Always hard to describe yourself... I can say I'm curious, open-minded, and always willing to learn, etc... but why the hell would I be on CS if I wasn't? ;)
PHILOSOPHY
If I had to have a motto, it would probably be "Enjoy the journey as much as the destination". When traveling, I'm usually not particularily looking forward to arrive somewhere (ok, except when I'm on a plane. Planes are awful.), I also rarely look forward to a concert because I often find the rehearsal process as enjoyable, and we always talk about having goals in life, but I think it should all be about enjoying every step you take toward these goals, and letting that guide you.
Interests
A passionate of music, I’m a freelance classical singer and play guitar in my free time. I also like other art forms in general (theatre, cinema, visual arts, etc). I also love languages. In the recent years I've learned German and Spanish and gotten to a decent level in both of them, dabbled in a few more, and read a fair bit about linguistics. Lover of the outdoors, big fan of hiking and trail running

Music, Movies, and Books
Music : mostly classical, especially baroque. Some of my favourite composers: Bach, Rameau, Charpentier, Monteverdi, Mozart, Tallis, Brahms, Schumann, Schubert. Else than that, jazz, French song (Brel, Brassens and Vigneault are among my favourites), folk (Simon and Garfunkel, Passenger, etc.). And always willing to discover new artists and styles.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Going on tour with BachAkademie Stuttgart. This was a wonderful experience all around, musically, socially, and culturally. I had the chance to sing Bach, my favourite composer, under some of the best conductors, to meet extremely talented musicians and wonderful people from all over the globe, to spend time in Germany and then to go on tour to Chile and Tunisia (respectively in 2013 and 2014), places I probably wouldn't have seen if it weren't for that. It was also a life-changing experience, as it was the first time I went to Europe to make music, and it gave me a first insight on the music scene there, and as I live there now, the rest is history!
Teach, Learn, Share
If you want to learn about stuff I know a lot about (classical music, or singing, for example. Or French Canadian culture, or practicing your French or English), anytime. And I'm glad to exchange on a lot of subjects. I'm also always glad to jam if you like making music!
