Overview
About Me
Me? You want to know about me? Sure! I would describe myself as a hugely positive person, always trying to find the fun and funny things in situations. I love having a conversation about all kinds of things, about you and your country, and me and my country, about sport, politics, religion, anything really!
Having said all of that it's not all about serious conversations, I can also enjoy a few (too many) drinks, this perhaps come from my Irish roots!
PHILOSOPHY
I like the idea that when I leave the planet, my time here will have (in some tiny, tiny way!) resulted in a net overall improvement in the happiness of human beings. Sounds big, but I want to do my little bit!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've done a fair bit of hosting in my time though that was quite a few years ago. I'm keen to get back into it as I loved it in the past but my accomodation circumstances changed so couldn't host unfortunately.
So far I've had the pleasure of hosting Chileans, French, Americans, Koreans, and French-Canadians (the French-Canadians knew how to party). I've never been let down from a surfer and always had so much fun!
I've couchsurfed in Munich, Paris, Washington DC, Nashville...I can't remember all the places!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couchsurfing is so much fun, and there is so much to be gained from it. It adds another dimension to just another holiday. It breaks the wall between tourist and local in a way that is really special. Holidays become, to varying extents, culture exchange which is so awesome. And it's all free!
Interests
I enjoy playing sport, particularly football and tennis. I'm a big Arsenal fan and try to get to the matches when I can.
I enjoy going out and having fun in new places with new people, dancing, drinking and taking in the nightlife of places I visit.
I've been learning Modern Greek for a number of years as my girlfriend has Greek roots and we go to Greece every year for holidays (the Greek island of Tinos, lovely spot).
I can also juggle. A bit.

Music, Movies, and Books
Too many to mention. This has to come up naturally in conversation!
When I was at uni I took this stuff way more seriously than I do now, but I enjoy trying to catch up on these things when I can.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My whole life has been spent doing amazing things, but not in the popular way that 'amazing' is used. The simple achievements mean a lot to me, such as education, work, and making incredible friendships.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've got good conversations on history, politics, religion, football, and movies but really, I can go with the flow.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'll teach you how to juggle, how's that?
I'll teach you how to do a sweet British accent. You'll sound like Hugh Grant and Colin Firth by the end, trust me.
