ABOUT ME
Hey! thanks for stepping by my profile, hope you find what you´re looking for :)
*just updated my profile* 16.06.14
Hi. This is me, Øistein. Nice to meet you *smiles*
I was born in 1993, so right now i´m 20.
Last year (2013) i took an interrail trip, zig-zag-ing through europe without a plan other than to get to rome in 26 days, and i got hooked on traveling. Traveling was great, i got to see so many places and meet so many people, it was so much more than wandering around at home. I truly enjoy couchsurfing, think it´s one of the most fun way to travel. The people i met on that trip really made a difference, and i will continue traveling by couchsurfing when i can.
Some stuff about me:
First of all, i´m norwegian. semi-tall i guess, 187cm. I try to smile a lot.
I consider myself as a musician, i have played the piano for a long time, 9 years i think. I like to play sports, but i tend to get myself injured in some way. I now posses a bad shoulder, my knee doesn't always like me very much and my forearms are full of tendinitis, but i get around ;)
I´m a gamer, i´ve always liked to play games, i can lock myself in my room an play games or watch netflix for a day without any remorse.
I´m an introvert by nature, but i don´t have any problems with being extrovert from time to time. it boils down what mood i´m in, but it´s usually on "PEOPLE! YAY!" mode. Especially when i´m traveling.
I still don´t have any idea where i´m going to end up, or what i´m going to study, but i´m pretty confident i´m on the right track at the moment.
I will fall asleep practically anywhere (seriously, put me in a chair and i'll fall asleep)
If you have any questions about me, about the area around where i live, if you want to learn some piano or just wanna hang out, message me.
I´m not hosting at the moment, but i will be surfing.
Travelers go! *Crowd goes wild*
Language info:
Norwegian - mah main language
English - will suffice in a normal conversation. I can read, write and talk very well but pronunciation can sometimes be a pain. ( for reference Dan Brown books have a vocabulary i understand with some exceptions)
French - Still learning, i can order a coffee and some food and tell you how old i am and where i'm from etc. I want to learn fluent french!
Spanish - little to none.
Right now i got 0% answered couch requests, and that is because i haven´t been using CS at all for a few months and i forgot to change my profile to "not hosting" mode. As previously stated i don´t have the possibility to host at the time, will update if i can. But send me a pm if you want somewhere to live in bergen, i might know someone :)

Music, Movies, and Books
A really enjoy a good thriller, be it a movie or a book.
Jackie Chan movies in general. Watched a serious amount of movies in a variety of genres. A good movie is a good movie :)
I´m open to most kinds of music. Particularly music with a groove, or just something that makes me feel good.
I´ve lately been reading Dan Brown books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My year in Trondheim, Norway at Trøndertun Folkehøgskole. By far the most fantastic experience in my life. (It´s basically a year of college where you have no grades and can study whatever you want depending on the school, from surfing to music.) It was one year of hyper socializing with 150 people with the same interest and love for music in a tiny school.
The one week i spent in New York city, where i watched the musicals Stomp and The book of Mormon.
La chatéu, Nice, France. One of the most beautiful sites i´ve seen.
Mountain traveling in Norway.
Three times participant of the music festival "Hove" in norway.
Kaizers Orchestra live in bergen.
I went on an interrail trip for 1 month with my best friend, with only a starting and stoping point for a plan. It was brilliant. We couchsurfed all the way
And for those who are still reading, t
hanks for stepping by my profile!

I play the piano, and i will gladly teach away that knowledge `cause it´s really a joy to play. I can also teach basic guitar and music theory from basic to somewhat advanced.
