One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was 19 years old, I lived for one year on Isla del Sol, an island on the Bolivian side of Lake Titikaka, with two other youths. We were their on our own, no NGOs or organization supervising us, and we were their to start a community based environmental program. We worked with the local schools and the village chief to implement a recycling system on the island, clean up beaches and teach children about the environment. It was an amazing year, through which I learned and grew a lot. A year filled with magical encounters, discovery of the life style of those who live from the land, participating in traditional and spiritual activities. And above all, Lake titikaka and the surrounding White Cordillera is the most stunning place I have ever since!
Teach, Learn, Share
For anyone interested in learning new languages, I am fluent in French (my mother tongue), English, Spanish and Portuguese! I am love to share with others and I love to learn new languages, through my travels, I learn the basics in Aymara (indigenous language in Bolivia), Kuna (indigenous language of Panama), Inuktitut (indigenous language of the Inuit of Northern Canada) and Khmer (mother tongue in Cambodia).
I am also very active, I do a lot of Capoeira, a brazilian martial art that I would love to teach to anyone willing to learn. I also do yoga and rock climbing.
I LOVE to cook and bake and more importantly, I LOVE to share recipes and ideas with others, especially learning to cook food from other cultures and teaching my specialties!
