About Me
Hello!
I'm a typical Portuguese guy, currently working as a tour guide and operator, that aims to expand his horizons by getting to know new people and new places around the world. I can describe myself as a super easy going person who's always trying to get the best of every situation and make everyone around spend some good time.
This state of mind was triggered when I joined BEST (a European students organisation) some years ago, a decision that led me to live amazing experiences so far! One of them was the possibility to graduate as a soft skills trainer, a position where I can use my experience and passion in order to develop other students.
The interest for travelling also grew with some few adventures in BEST but doing an Erasmus programme brought me to another level. Plan a trip, grab my backpack and start to discover never looked so easy and it's something that I want to do as much as I can!
Some part-time jobs on the tourism field made me discover my passion and ability to unveil my country and my culture to other people and so I recently decided to launch a new project in this field on my own. So far everything is going well but I hope I can get it to another level by next Summer!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
CS gives me the possibility to do something that I really enjoy: meet new people from each corner of the world, learn something more about their culture and share a bit of mine!
There's no better way to know a place than with a local. A person that knows that hidden spot where you can see an amazing landscape, taste a delicious snack or hear some really good music. And here you can find this at the same time you're making new friends!
Interests
If you find here some interests in common, we can surely talk for hours. And even if not, we might end up doing the same since I'm always up for a good conversation :D

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm really into indie/alternative rock and my fav band is The National.
Usually, I watch more series than movies. Vikings, Handmaid's Tale and Black Mirror are on my top spots.
Don't read as much as I would like but Perfume: The Story of a Murderer and the Millenium Saga are among my preferred ones.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My Erasmus exchange programme. Every new place I've visited, every new person I've met and every new thing that I've learned... It had a huge impact on me, made me know myself and my limits and shaped me into the person I am today. It was surely the most enriching experience in my life so far!
Teach, Learn, Share
I love cooking and gladly Portugal provides you a great variety of some incredible dishes. I can prepare some of them and surely try to teach you how to do it. And if you share the same passion I'll be more than grateful to taste and learn about something from your country too!
I also have a great interest on photography but never had the change to develop it so some tips and tricks would be highly appreciated :)
