About Me

I'm a social guy that enjoys seeing new parts of the world. I love new culture and any opportunity to be a part of it. I've been lucky enough to spend a semester studying abroad in Barcelona, and will be spending another semester in Prague this spring. After I graduate, I will be moving to Cambodia to continue traveling while I do an internship with UNICEF there. Traveling, and meeting new people, excites me, I love our differences, what we have to share with one another, and hope to continue this throughout my life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I want to meet new people, but also because I am cheap. A bit of a win-win? Hoping to meet people that are willing to show me around, and give me their impression of wherever we are.

Interests

I'm fairly outdoorsy, I love surfing, snowboarding, hiking, and other things like that. I also love to learn about the places I'm traveling to and seeing. What interests me most is seeing different place, what it's like beyond its tourism. The art, culture, and cuisine of a place is generally what strikes me most, I love seeing what a place and the people living there are creating.

Music, Movies, and Books

I always have a hard time with favorites, so I'm not going to bother. The book I'm reading now is Immortality by Milan Kundera, I have been making a slow, but steady transition from hip-hop to electronic, and the last movie I watched was Three Kings, which is better than it looks.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's always hard to think back on what I've done or accomplished as amazing, but I have always thought of traveling as amazing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I think I bring my own perspective on a new place based on my experiences growing up and the places I have lived in and visited. I like to explore and discuss, and compare places (even if a comparison doesn't do justice). So, I think I can share my perspective and a good attitude
