About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Am currently about to embark on first real overseas travell around England & Europe! Hopefully will be able to cash in some hospitality karma from the many lovely couchsurfers our flat has hosted in Wellington!
ABOUT ME
I'm pretty relaxed, friendly and considerate which will hopefully help me tap into that travelling flow overseas =) A short trip to Australia aside, I've never travelled overseas but I've posted a few photos from a hitchhiking trip around New Zealand's South Island from earlier this year. It was beautiful and a great adventure had by embracing everything and putting yourself out there.
PHILOSOPHY
The truth will set you free (but first it will piss you off) Ha. Be honest with yourself first and foremost.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
The first photo is of me and my flatmate Sara. We had a big house of 7 people and had many couchsurfers through last year under her account-it was lovely. Now I plan to backpack through UK and Europe staying with friends and distant relatives but it would be great if I could do a bit of couchsurfing myself in the gaps where I have nowhere to stay =)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I will endeavour to put a link to the couchsurfing profile of our flat last year once I figure out how.
Interests
Everything. Do all the things! There aren't enough hours. But if you made a pie chart of my free time it might look something like this. Music (playing and listening); 40%, Football(& freestyle football);30%, Pondering ; 30%.
- traveling
- juggling
- music
- guitar
- backpacking
- soccer
- science
- hitchhiking
Music, Movies, and Books
'It's not what you are like its what you like'-that's from High Fidelity which is movie I like. Its a movie about music. Some bands who's music I like include the Smiths, Pixies, Sigur Ros, Smashing Pumpkins but I'm currently listening to Joanna Newsom constantly. Books, books-anything to make you think really be it fiction or non (both can teach in different ways).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Everything, even the most mundane and profane, are amazing if you consider them with enough engagement, intellectual honesty and scope. Is that the kind of thing I should write?...or that I really enjoyed tramping around Mount Taranaki? both are true.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would say freestyle football but I've had a knee operation recently. Guitar? Basic contact juggling? I can do a bit of the ole science...
