我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing for the same reason I prefer hitchhiking whenever possible. It's much more interesting to really meet the locals while traveling than just wander around on my own.

Architecture, design, education, photography, etc.

Right after going to university I picked up folk dancing, that has grown to become my longest held hobby (if I would not count Wikipedia as such). For other training related habits, I have practiced ultimate frisbee for some time. The most recent thing, I've tried, is academic fencing. And I pretty constantly think that I should pick up running.

音乐、电影和书籍

I prefer Estonian folk rock and folk metal (Zetod, Dagö, Metsatöll, Svjata Vatra, etc), electronic music (Hans Zimmer, Depeche Mode, Daft Punk, etc) together with pop and rock music.

Films like Avatar, Gladiator, Illusionist, Inception, Iron Sky, Lord of War, Thank You for Smoking, etc. I prefer films which have great visuals, some action and/or comedy and what can put you to think. The animation is also nice.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Maybe I could say that the most amazing things that I have done are related to organizing some stuff. For an example, I brought the speedcubing competitions into the Baltic states, organized worldwide science photo competition, set up a full university course while still being a BSc student etc.

As for traveling, I have also had some colorful experience. I have slept in a barn house in Iceland, taken photos next to military station in Transnistria, got lost in Saint-Étienne, presented Estonian folk dance in various stages in Hungary, being mentioned in Hong Kong newspaper as a "crazy Estonian", spending several days in Vienna without any money, or have occasionally just hitchhiked without a map to a specific place when I had no idea where was it actually located and still managed to got there.
